Location: This is a hybrid role; candidates should preferably live in Glasgow, Scotland, or within one-hour commuting distance. The position requires on-site client visits in Glasgow, Scotland, for three days a week.

With a growing client base, we are hiring a (Sr.) Testing Manager based in Glasgow, Scotland, to be part of our Testing Team and play an integral role in our client’s journey with Testlio. A Testing Manager is responsible for the success of our testing delivery, taking care of the important activities of clients’ testing projects, including test scope planning, test run management, and results reporting. You will work closely with clients, the Testers, Test Leads, other Testing Managers, Testing Delivery, and our Engagement Managers to ensure that testing is executed with the Testlio stamp of quality. This role also requires regular on-site visits to the client’s workspace to foster collaboration and ensure seamless integration of testing processes.

What would your day look like?

• Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborating closely with a single client to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Understanding and working within the boundaries of the project’s success and financial metrics, such as margin, target utilization, NPS, and more.
  • Actively participate in daily scrum calls, sprint meetings, and release discussions, including weekly on-site visits to the client’s workspace three times a week.
  • Partnering directly with key stakeholders to align and implement effective testing strategies, ensuring seamless process integration and outstanding results.
  • Raising project and team-related risks, problems, and questions to the relevant stakeholders and taking the initiative to solve them.

• Test Management
• Defining the testing strategy for multiple products within the client’s digital portfolio.
• Speak confidently about holistic testing strategies, including manual and automation testing flows.
• Proactively defining priorities based on the work backlog.
• Ensuring the Test Runs follow recommended approaches established within Testlio and account for client-side expectations.
• Leading and coordinating Test Runs – identifying relevant scope, estimating needed work task efforts, verifying the testing environment, preparing relevant test plans/mindmaps/materials/guides and tools, building a team from our network of Test Leads and Testers following the unique criteria for the project, triaging reported issues, supporting testers, providing feedback and compiling meaningful end reports.
• Reviewing and providing feedback to test plans and tests created by other testing managers.
• Monitoring project quality KPIs and taking appropriate actions to improve them.
• Identifying and solving technical challenges related to testing, such as simulating geographical locations, using network traffic monitoring tools, and so forth.

What do you need to succeed?

• Technical Skills
• 5+ years of experience managing both manual and automated testing.
• Good comprehension of test automation principles and application strategies, along with manual testing.
• Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies and procedures.
• Experience in Test Automation with a strong grasp of automation feasibility and the ability to articulate strategic advantages over manual testing.
• Practical experience with tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Playwright is a plus.
• Experience with web and mobile test development. 

• Stakeholder & Client Management Skills
• Proven experience working with external clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills.
• Exceptional ability to negotiate stakeholder requirements and manage project demands.
• Being analytical and detail-oriented with an ability to give constructive feedback to testers.
• Proven track record of strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management, task delegation, and prioritization capabilities.
