Freelance Software Tester (Functional Testing, United States)

Hi there! We are Testlio, a software testing company with its own freelance network. Our freelancers test apps from worldwide companies. Testlio is a great place for people who value the freedom and flexibility of remote work.

At the moment, we are looking for software testers based in the United States to participate in a beginner-friendly functional testing task for one of our clients, a globally recognized leader in the technology industry.

For this workspace, you will need a Valid (Non-Expired) US Passport. We will be going through a Know Your Client (KYC) flow in our customer’s app, meaning that you will be asked to scan your valid passport and NFC chip. You will also be asked to take a selfie in order to finalize the flow.

If you’re an experienced software tester, or would like to get started in the industry, we would like to have you join us on this short-term project.

To participate in this project, you will need to create an account on our platform. Through this account, we can assign you testing tasks. You will be asked to use our website for defect tracking. You will be provided with materials on our website that will help you understand the principles of software testing and how we operate, ensuring you’re fully prepared for the tasks ahead.

Requirements

• You have to be at least 18 years old
• Location: United States
• Availability: The deadline for testing is 29th April. The test itself should not take longer than 1h of your time.
• Language: English (intermediate or higher) for reading the testing instructions and collaborating with the testing team
• Experience: No prior experience is needed

What does testing look like?

• Type of testing: Remote Functional Testing
• Type of work: One time test
• Workload: The task will take approximately 1h
• The hourly payrate if $18 USD / h. If you need to work for more than 1h, we will approve the additional time on a case by case basis.
  • Payments are made on a weekly basis via PayPal or Payoneer.

How to start?

  • Your Testlio account will house the information we need to make sure you are a match with the project.
  • Once your account is created, our team will reach out via email to direct you to the project
  • Please take approximately 30 minutes to complete your profile, otherwise we will not be able to include you in the project.
• Once you are taken to the specific project, the team will review your application and profile.
• Upon approval, you will receive additional emails with instructions and next steps.
