We are looking for a  Data Scientist to join our Business Operations team. With our Organization increasingly using more data to drive everyday operations this role will be at the forefront of collecting data, using analytical, statistical and programmable skills to extract valuable insights and meaning from the data and creating visualizations to present to all key stakeholders.

What would your day look like?

Using tools like Amazon Web Services, MySQL, Python, AWS Glue, Quicksight and Java Script, day to day activities could include the following:

• Developed detailed data models and dictionaries for use in data warehouses. With knowledge in the AWS suite. 
• Identify and handle missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies in data
• Transform data into a format suitable for analysis
• Maintain data warehouses to store and manage large amounts of data
• Data Integration
• Combine data from multiple sources to create a unified dataset for analysis
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
• Improved database models and querying techniques, increasing query efficiency
• Apply machine learning models to forecast customer demand, enabling businesses to better manage inventory levels.
• Construct comprehensive data dashboards for the effective and timely visualization of data

What do you need to succeed?

Technical Skills

 The ideal candidate would have 3+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist and be proficient in the following:

• Experience using BI tools like AWS Quicksight would be preferred, but BI experience in Tableau or Power BI would be acceptable. 
• Automation experience using APIs and scripting languages like Python is a must. Experience with Javascript is beneficial. 
• Strong SQL experience preparing data using complex SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts would be beneficial.
• Database Management experience is essential.

Human Skills

• A keen attention to detail, analytical thinking, and rapid problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and changing project needs.
• Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling.
