Freelance Software Tester (Streaming Testing, UK)

At the moment, we are looking for freelance software testers based in United Kingdom to join us in testing our client’s app, a popular streaming platform and telco giant which has made a name for itself in the tech industry as a center of excellence in the field of software development.

Your testing will help resolve streaming issues and create a better viewing experience for many users.

To participate in this project, you will need to create an account on our platform. Through this account, we can assign you testing tasks. You will be asked to use our website for defect tracking and will be given some material to go through to prepare you for testing.

Requirements

• Age: You have to be at least 18 years old.
• Location: Must be physically located in the United Kingdom
• Availability: Consistent opportunity with test runs lasting 1-3 hours, occurring two weekends each month.
• Devices: BT TV Pro Box (Arris VIP5662), BT TV 4K UHD Recordable Box (Humax DTR-T4000), BT TV Mini Box (Arris VIP5602), BT TV Recordable Box (Humax DTR-T2000 / DTR-T2100), BT TV Recordable Box (Humax DTR-T1000)
  • You need to have one of these devices in order to participate.
• Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but if you are new to testing, we offer free courses to help you learn and grow. 
  • We have a preparatory course that will teach you more about how to test on our website.

What does testing look like?

• Type of testing: functional, localization, and streaming testing.
• Type of work: short-term, freelance.
• Workload: Consistent opportunity with test runs lasting 1-3 hours, occurring two weekends each month. There is a possibility that this project will become a regular testing opportunity.
• Pay rate: The pay rate for this is 18 USD/hr.
• Payment: You are paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer.
  • We will send you the USD amount, which you can then transfer/convert to EUR if it is more convenient to you.
