Freelance Software Tester (Streaming Testing, the Netherlands)

Hi there! We are Testlio, a global software testing company with its own freelance network. Our freelancers test apps from companies across the globe. Testlio is a great place for people who value the freedom and flexibility of remote work.

At the moment, we are looking for freelance software testers based in the Netherlands to join us in testing our client’s app, a leading European streaming platform developer, serving over 50 million users. Your testing will help resolve streaming issues and create a better viewing experience for many users.

To participate in this project, you will need to create an account on our platform. Through this account, we can assign you testing tasks. You will be asked to use our website for defect tracking and will be given some material to go through to prepare you for testing.

Requirements

• Age: You have to be at least 18 years old.
• Location: Must live anywhere in the Netherlands.
• Availability: We do not have a set schedule for testing this app. We will notify you in advance when testing takes place via email. We estimate that the testing task will take 39 hours total, across 1–2 test runs.
• Devices: Samsung TV Tizen 2.4 and above. (Tizen 3, Tizen 4, Tizen 5 to 9)
• Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but if you are new to testing, we offer free courses to help you learn and grow. 
  • We have a preparatory course that will teach you more about how to test on our website.

What does testing look like?

• Type of testing: functional, exploratory, and streaming testing.
• Type of work: short-term, freelance.
• Workload: One-time testing opportunity taking approximately 2 to 5 hours, with the possibility of expanding into several more test runs. There is a possibility that this project will become a regular testing opportunity.
• Pay rate: The pay rate for this is 50 USD/hr.
  • Testers who successfully complete the task will receive an additional $100 USD bonus
• Payment: You are paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer.
  • We will send you the USD amount, which you can then transfer/convert to EUR if it is more convenient to you.
