As a Product Manager of Reports team, you are responsible for identifying opportunities, scoping and analyzing problem definitions in data presentation, personalization, aggregation and insights field. Collaborating with target users, including VPs, CTOs, Head of QEs or Engineering, you seek to build data products that drive decisions and value to our customer engineering and product organizations. You define requirements (functional and non-functional), scopes, define metrics and conduct competitive market analysis – you know what the market needs, how to build compelling products and drive product market fit. Working closely with your product engineering team, data analytics and design team, you build transparent, impactful and compelling product vision and roadmaps. Writing good documentation and communicating with the target audience is something you enjoy and do to increase product adoption and awareness – you drive feedback loops to fuel decision making and product enhancements.

What would your day look like?

  • Own product vision and direction of Reports team.
  • Create and maintain your product opportunity bank – create product 1-pagers.
  • Write clear problem statements, document impact and rewards addressing it.
  • Conduct market and competitor research, share learnings to raise awareness.
  • Create and drive product functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Translate problems and requirements into an attainable, prioritized product roadmap.
  • Create and implement success criteria, metrics that have observable results and outcomes.
  • Partner with target users and stakeholders to steer roadmaps towards impact and market fit.
  • Work closely with Designers/Engineers to dive deep into user experience and narratives to deliver elegant solutions that drive efficiency and top of the art experiences.
  • Own go-to market training, documentation and release communication.
  • Collect feedback, analyze and adjust features and solutions to meet user satisfaction.
  • Manage product iterations from ideation to rollout – manage expectations and releases of your product.
  • Accountable for clear and groomed product backlog – team has clear work items each sprint.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager.
  • 5+ years working on enterprise software products, SaaS or PaaS solution domain.
  • Previous data product and AI/ML experience is strong plus, preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a services company powered by technology is a plus.
  • SQL skills needed to do data analysis and querying.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple, effective manner to the team, stakeholders and partners.
  • Great English, including writing, is a must to be able to collaborate seamlessly with our teams.
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and an abstract environment – independent and disciplined to drive product, accommodating change.
  • Good knowledge of software development processes/lifecycle and testing aspects of it.
  • Proven experience with delivering products in abstract settings, tangible impact and results.
  • You have a “user first” attitude and are passionate about fixing user problems.

Prior testing experience can be advantageous, however, the specific experience requirements vary depending on the type of testing involved. For instance, in functional testing and localization testing, we typically validate the necessary skills with certifications or relevant courses. Nonetheless, we are open to individuals with no prior experience in software testing and provide opportunities for them to join our team. Additionally, we offer comprehensive courses to equip all team members with the knowledge of the Testlio process, standards, and testing capabilities we offer.

Testlio seeks quality engineers with a high level of experience and expertise in software testing and quality assurance. Generally, we prefer quality engineers with at least 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, and with a background in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Testlio Functional Regression Testing Certification requires good knowledge and skill in functional regression testing capability. With this certification we want to make sure that candidates are familiar with the Testlio platform, are capable of following the instructions and scope of the run, and know how to report issues and perform issue reproductions per Testlio standards.

Testlio offers a flexible schedule for freelancers, and the expected workload can vary depending on individual factors such as experience, availability, language skills, and device list. Our freelancers’ workload can range from a few hours per week to up to 30-40 hours per week, depending on the individual’s preferences and the needs of clients.

The Testlio platform supports a wide range of testing types, including functional, regression, exploratory, usability, payments, localization, and analytics testing. Sometimes freelance testers can be asked to perform different kinds of testing during the runs, if they have the necessary skills, e.g. functional and localization.

At Testlio, we pay our testers by the hour (not by the bug). This helps us provide the best tester experience and the best results for our clients. All approved task payments are made weekly via Payoneer or PayPal.

No, Testlio does not handle tax declarations for freelancers. Freelancers are responsible for managing their own taxes and complying with their local tax laws. Testlio recommends that freelancers consult with a tax professional in their area to ensure they are complying with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
